Cut&Paste

Cut&Paste Portland

Cut&Paste Portland is just around the corner. The big event is going down in less than two weeks. I’ve been working with the local team to develop the promotional collateral for the event, fliers, poster, banners and ads. Above is an ad that made it into the Portland Mercury. My friend Lisa Kline-Simon will be competing in the 2D competition, representing the PNCA crew. I graduated  from the Communication Design Dept. in the spring of 2008.  Cut&Paste puts the already competitive field of design into the battle realm. Local designers go head to head, with 15-minutes to show what they’ve got. It’s happening on March 7th. I’ll be there working the 55DSL audience design competition. Come out and watch some head-to-head design magic.

Train Faces

This is my first post using the WordPress platform. I’m still getting used to it so bear with me. It’s been a busy past few weeks. I’m steadily updating my new portfolio site. Times that I can simply sit down and sketch are few and far between these days. I’ve been taking lots of photos, mainly for The Dapper Cap. Things have been going well at the shop. We’ve made it through January, the toughest month for retail. Spring is on its way in and we’ve got lots of great stuff planned. Tonight we’re continuing our Hat Revolution Thursday series. If you’re in the area stop by and enjoy a beer with us.
