A new direction…

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about the direction of this blog. Instead of focusing solely on my own work, I want to showcase the work of my friends and fellow designers. I’ve put equity into the Micron Hero brand, and I don’t want to abandon it. I want to use it as a platform to give exposure to fellow devotees of the sketchbook. I’ve already set my sights on a few great sketchbook keepers. If you know of anyone who journals and sketches obsessively that should be on here, send me a link. Micron Hero is the way of the sketchbook.

My wish for a productive week was granted. I got the opportunity to see the inner workings of an animation studio I’ve long admired, and even help out a bit. I’m very excited with the direction things have been going lately. I’m also excited to relax this weekend, recharge my batteries and do some straight up drawing. Every week that goes by reaffirms my core philosophy that drawing is awesome and my favorite thing to do.

The Day After…

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. I know for me the biggest risk is eating too much BBQ, which I probably did. I’m going to take it easy today, in order to go into next week full-force. It’s going to be a busy one!

Happy 4th of July!
