Expanding through space and time…

It’s been awhile since I last put some paint on a wall. I had a run of mural work while I was still in school. For my day job I do graphic design work at the marketing agency TAOW in NW Portland. A month or so ago, my creative director pitched me the idea of doing a large-scale piece in our downstairs meeting. I’m always keen for a chance to step out from behind the glow of the monitor. It’s fun to work on a piece that’s as tall as I am and longer than the minivan I’ve been driving around lately. I’m starting to refine my style in the acrylic medium. I want to keep doing these large pieces, so if you’re looking for some wall decoration, let’s talk.

Non-repeating pattern…

non-repeating-pattern

I love creating patterns, especially those of the handmade variety. I developed this one for use in this special project I’ve been working on over the past week. Looking back, I see that I’ve probably been more productive in the past month than I have been in quite awhile. I guess that’s what having nothing else to focus on does to you. I’m channeling everything into this stuff. I want to take this blog to the next level. It’s time to make this more than just a place to display visuals. Many more good things are coming in the future.
