While in Las Vegas over the weekend, I took my camera out on the old strip to capture in my own way, the dazzling lights the city is famous for. I wanted to portray the blurry, intoxicated spirit of the city, rather than simply document what was before my eyes. I love the halo effect that’s created when you capture a light source in a way that’s perfectly out of focus. I don’t know how to explain exactly how this happens, but quite honestly I care more about how it looks than how it works. Here are five of my favorite photographs from the series:
